Julia Lindemalm is a freelance photographer based in Malmö, Sweden, working for a variety of clients nationally and internationally.

Parallel to assignments, she works in long term projects with focus on the human relationship to animals. She has published two books, Katt People (2017) and Zoo World (2018) and has had numerous solo exhibitions on the subject, including her most extensive show De Andra / The Others on display until October 2024 at Dunkers Kulturhus.

Julia Lindemalm is frequently hired to hold lectures and courses on subjects related to her art and to documentary photography.

Julia Lindemalm är frilansfotograf bosatt i Malmö. Hon är utbildad dokumentärfotograf och hennes bilder publiceras i dagstidningar, magasin, böcker och kampanjer. Tidigare har hon arbetat som fotograf på Sydsvenskan och Göteborgs Posten. Sedan 2015 är Julia Lindemalm en del av det Malmöbaserade frilanskontoret Blenda journalistik.

Hon anlitas även för att hålla föredrag och kurser om ämnen relaterade till sin konst och till dokumentärfotografi.

I Julia Lindemalms konstnärliga arbete har djuren huvudrollen. Genom dem söker hon svar på existensiella frågor. Hon har haft separatutställningar på bland annat Arbetets museum i Norrköping, Galleri Kontrast i Stockholm, Abecita Konstmuseum i Borås och Galleri Format i Malmö. Hon har gett ut två fotoböcker, Katt People (2017) och Zoo World (2018).
